The spiritual drive for sex is the desire to know the other. Every person has their outer, which is public, and their inner which is private, consisting of their private thoughts and feelings. Anyone you meet, and are attracted to, will have the exterior side - often what we refer to as the objectification of… - and the hidden side that we cannot know unless we “enter into them” - literally, have intimate relations with them. For when you are intimate with someone, not just fucking, but making love, you know them on a level that no one else who hasn’t been there knows them. It opens up a portal to their soul.

We confuse the ecstacy we experience in sexual interactions with the person, and begin to idolise this person, worshipping him or her with all your heart—something today we call true love. But the truth of the matter is that we should be focusing on the feeling of ecstacy of the moment and not the object that stimulated the experience, stemming from your desire, igniting your energy to reach these ecstatic peaks—only to wither away, sometimes slowly, sometimes rapidly, descending into the dark valleys between the peaks, where most of the time we reside—with all its mundane, that is, non-ecstatic, tasks, needs and responsibilities, while, all the time, longing for that feeling of ecstacy which has been lost. This loss will incite you to spend much time and energy on either coming to terms with it or, more likely, to spend yourself on trying to reignite that same feeling of transcendent ecstacy, that is often confused as love.

This is all about worshipping the representation of the Divine in the person you love. There is the physical manifestation, the template of which is made by G-d, which you do have a significant influence over. The feeling it arouses is primarily one of lust, desire for an object, as it should, due to the need to procreate. If it is to approach love, there needs to be a recognition of the Divine aspect of that particular person, his soul. In order for it to be true love, there has to be a soul connection.

The ultimate love, though, is love of the Divine Whether it is through one’s love for one’s beloved, one’s soul-mate, or not, is insignificant, but it is the love of G-d, who will never stop loving you!

The only one who can be your true beloved is the one who is always with you. Who constantly feels your heart’s desire, and thinks your thoughts with you — the Shekhinah, the Divine Presence immanent in everything we are and everything we (can) do.Sexual drive

The body

The body communicates with sensual messages! That is, the body’s language is sensory, existing within the realm of sensation.

We expect the body to tell us what is going on. Yet the possessor of the mouth and tongue cannot speak to us, the one with ears cannot hear. What it can do is feel the sensation and communicate with broad, elusive strokes what is going on. All of the bodies messages are non-verbal. They have to be apprehended in the space of images and open-hearted comprehension.
